At 79 degrees north, in the artic desert of the Spitsbergen island group, the Svalbard skimarathon was organized on Saturday 26th of April. The wheather was perfect. Not a cloud in the sky, and reasonably hot. Not even 10 degrees below zero. It all made for an incredible cross country race through amazing artic nature. Continue reading

Birthday in Solnechnogorskoe
The small village of Solnechnogorskoe is set beautifully by the Black Sea in the Ukraine. Amenities are few, hotels are none, but the hospitality is great. In 2005 I got to celebrate my birthday here.
